![]() ![]() Material Traits Reinforced: +10 chance per level of not using durability. Hit that subscribe button if you enjoyed this video or don't More to come eventuallyThis Is a tutorial for by far my favorite pickaxe to. Table of Material Stats This information is valid for version TConstruct-1.7.10-1.8.8. I'd argue that this is combination for the fastest pickaxe (you can add redstone if you want, but advantage in negliable and it increases EU cost when using electric modifier). Tools can be crafted with different materials for each part in order to vary material traits added. Also after reading source it seems that stonebound stacks, so replacing rod in my setup with ardite one will get you a faster tool.Įdit: I've tested Manuyllyn head with Ardite rod and binding with diamond and emerald modifiers and at 60 % durability it starts mining stone instantly and at 40 % mines abyssal stone (RC basalt) instantly, which I couldn't do with my previous pickaxe. I tested cobalt pickaxe with 7 modifiers being redstone and it doesn't even mine stone instantly (like drill netherrack or dirt). The bonus mining speed that you get from high durability tool thanks to stonebound is a lot higher than from redstone. ![]() This way I can have it almost broken (the highest mining speed with stonebound) and still use it. You could probably tweak the Hammer Head part to something you prefer more, and then you have several modifiers you could apply (plus Embossment) which are personal preference. For my miner I use the same basic setup as 2nd post, but with diamond, emerald, lapis and electric modifier (+ diamond gold block for modifier). The Ardite Hammer Head has a fair amount of durability, a high mining level, and makes the tool mine faster the more damaged it becomes. It could break with exceptionally bad luck, a mod adding blocks that aren't classified as stone, or by adding modifiers which consume more durability, but for the most part it's nearly indestructible without using any modifiers. Those 3 effects combined means the tool will average out ~1/6th Durability (IIRC). It averages out to a 30% chance to not take durability damage (effectively Reinforced 1.5). Tinkers Construct mDiyo Titanium Buuz135 Torchmaster xalcon. The Obsidian Large Plate has a chance to not lose durability, and a smaller chance to lose double durability. KubeJS Create LatvianModder KubeJS Thermal LatvianModder LibVulpes zmaster587 Lootr Noobanidus. The Bronze Large Plate makes the tool more damage resistant (less likely to lose durability) the lower the tools durability is. ![]() The Ardite Tough Rod makes the tool regain some durability when it mines stone-based materials. I forget if that's the 'best' placement, but it should work quite well. That said, for specifically a Hammer, it's pretty hard to beat an Ardite Head, Bronze Large Plate, Obsidian Large Plate, and Ardite Tough Rod. Tinker's isn't supposed to have a universal "best" tool. ![]()
